How old is Dolly Parton?

The queen of country music turned just 76 years old. But the number of candles on the cake isn’t something that concerns Dolly Parton because she says that she “ain’t got time to be old”.

“I don’t think about my life in terms of numbers. First of all, I ain’t never gonna be old because I ain’t got time to be old. I can’t stop long enough to grow old.”

Dolly sees youth as a state of mind, and not a number on a driver's license.

“I think more than anything, it’s about what comes from inside you. It’s an attitude and you gotta shine from within. Sometimes, that can make you feel young and make you seem young to other people.”

Dolly’s got a point! There is nothing “old” about releasing new music, having 4.7 million followers on Instagram, or landing the cover of People Magazine’s People of the Year 2021.
